Delete your account
Last updated: July 9, 2026
The short version. Deleting your Jourvelope account permanently removes your Google identity from our systems, unlinks your subscription from your account, and erases all local data on your device. It does not cancel your active Google Play subscription — you have to do that yourself in the Play Store.
1. What gets permanently deleted
When you delete your account, all three of the following happen:
- Your account is removed from our authentication system. Your Google account email and the identifier tied to your Google Sign-In are permanently erased from Firebase Authentication.
- Your subscription is unlinked from your account. The customer record that maps your Google identity to your active subscription is logged out and removed in RevenueCat. This means you will no longer be able to restore your subscription on a new device by signing in.
- All local data on your device is erased. Every journey, recording, habit tracker, streak, reminder, and preference is deleted from the Jourvelope app on the device where you triggered the deletion.
2. What deleting your account does NOT do
Important. Deleting your Jourvelope account does not cancel your active Google Play subscription. Google Play requires that you cancel subscriptions yourself. If you delete your account without also canceling, Google will keep billing you until the end of the current billing period.
Before or after you delete, please open the Play Store subscription page and cancel:

Deleting your account does not affect Jourvelope data stored on other devices where you may still be signed in — you would need to delete on each device (or uninstall the app there).
3. How to delete your account
You have two options:
- In the app (recommended) — Open Jourvelope, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. A confirmation dialog will list every consequence again. Once you confirm, the deletion is immediate.
- By email — Send a request from the Google account email you signed in with to aliatwork364@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete my Jourvelope account". We process web requests within 30 days.
4. Data retention after deletion
Once deletion completes:
- Your authentication record and subscription customer record are removed immediately.
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics events (e.g., "someone opened the Home screen") that were collected before deletion may remain in Firebase Analytics for up to 14 months, per Google's default retention. These events are never tied to your name or Google account.
- Server backups may retain traces of your identifier for up to 30 days before they are permanently overwritten.
5. Free (non-signed-in) users
If you never signed in for Jourvelope+, we do not have any record of you to delete. You only need to clear local data:
- Open Settings → Clear all data inside the app, or
- Uninstall Jourvelope — Android will remove everything the app stored locally.
6. Questions
If any part of the deletion process didn't complete cleanly, or you have questions about what was removed, please email aliatwork364@gmail.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
