Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

The short version. Jourvelope doesn't have accounts, servers, or trackers. Your videos and journal entries live on your device only. The app does not have permission to access the internet — so nothing you record can leave your phone.

1. What we collect

Nothing. Jourvelope does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or usage data through the app.

There is no sign-up, no account, no email address, no username, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising ID, and no third-party tracker embedded in the app.

2. What stays on your device

Everything the app records or you create is stored locally on your device:

None of the above ever leaves your device. We (the developers) cannot see any of it.

3. Permissions we request

The app asks for two permissions, and only uses them for the feature you're using:

The app does not request the Internet permission. That's a deliberate architectural choice: even if the app tried to send data anywhere, the operating system would block it.

4. Third-party services

The app itself uses no third-party services or SDKs for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or user identification.

If you visit this website (jourvelope.web.app) and join the launch waitlist, your email address is submitted to a Google Form and stored in a Google Sheet we control. That email is only used to notify you when the app launches. It is not tied to your app usage in any way (the app never sees your email). You can request removal by contacting us.

5. Deleting your data

You are always in full control:

Because the data never left your device, there is nothing on our side to delete.

6. Children

Jourvelope does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. Since we collect nothing at all, this policy applies universally.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Any change will be reflected in the next app update — you can always review the current policy before upgrading.
